Trackplan

The following plan shows the track layout for the 183cm (6ft) scenic portion of the Wickersley layout. Trains would enter from the fiddleyard (not shown) on the far right.

The uppermost entry line is a bidirectional line to the supposed engine shed and carriage sidings. The middle line is a bidirectional line conveying passenger traffic . The line below that leads to the freight yard is used mainly for light engine movements and parcels traffic.


The layout now differs from this simple diagram  in that a connecting piece of platform bridges the two platforms on the far left, the footbridge moving to the far ends of the platforms and that the road overbridge is little more than a footpath.
